During this procedure a chemical solution is used to peel away skin’s top layers. This is designed to restore wrinkled, blemished, unevenly pigmented, or sun-damaged facial skin. A chemical peel solution can be applied to the entire face or just to some areas, such as the crow’s feet area around the eyes or the vertical wrinkles around the mouth. The surgeon will apply the solution to the face then observe changes in the skin’s appearance to determine how long to leave the solution.
